Happy holidays! For me, Christmas shopping and decorating for the season are my favorite parts of the year. Since no occasion would be complete without a gift guide or two, I'm beyond excited to kick off the next few weeks of present picks with my favorite ways to deck the halls!

There is nothing like having a little greenery around the house and this year I've decided "real tree or nothing!". The scent of sap and spruce wafting through the air on Christmas morning, mingling with whiffs of cinnamon rolls and scotch tape  is one of those memories you just shouldn't go without (sorry plastic trees, you're not for me). A graphic basket instead of a tree skirt, cozy throws & stockings and a few rustic touches will be rounding out our holiday decor this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We've celebrated turkey day a few times this year already and I've got to say, spending the holiday with friends is where it's at. Not only are we headed to our friend's home tomorrow (sweet potato casserole in hand), but Aissa, Ginny of Sleepy Fox Photography and I had a "Friendsgiving" picnic to celebrate a birthday last week and it was so much fun. We found the perfect patch of soft golden grass on the side of the road, unloaded our entertaining essentials from Anthropolgie and watched our friend (who happens to be the eye that captures all of these pretty moments) open gifts and enjoy her birthday a few days early. Macarons from Whisk Small Treats were the perfect sweet touch.

Few things in this world are as precious as soul-sisters and I'm so very thankful (today especially) to live and play in such great company.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am feeling so thankful for all of the wonderful ways my life has changed this year! There are amazing projects on the horizon and I'm almost knocked over every time I sit and think of how truly blessed I became in 2014. I am (finally) engaged to my best friend and I'm so contented to have found my friend soul-mates. Lo is growing steadily and has such an intense love for discovering the world around her. I am lucky enough to pour my heart into my work everyday and I have never been more excited to see where the world takes me and my little family. We are fortunate to have food in our bellies and places to lay our heads down every night. I have given my all to this little corner of the internet this year and have been so pleasantly shocked by the incredible community that has come of it. I am truly thankful for every single one of you that stops by every once in a while and shares this journey with me.

Tomorrow I have a very special Friendsgiving picnic to share with you but in the meantime, thank you for stopping by and for keeping me inspired to keep going. This blog has changed my world and I am so very appreciative.
