I can hardly believe another Turkey Day is almost here. It seems like Thanksgiving comes around sooner and sooner each year, doesn't it?! Although we're celebrating this particular holiday of thankfulness with family in Colorado, I'm kind of itching to create a tablescape of my own. Last year we partied with friends at "friendsgiving" and I've gotta be honest, I missed the tradition of cooking and staging everything myself. Of course, no Hazel + Scout occasion would be complete without a neutral color palette and a few bohemian accents and this imaginary set-up is true to form. Rustic treats served on natural materials (wood and marble boards are my new best friend when it comes to entertaining), pops of glamorous metallic and luxurious texture would all have a place at our table. Whether you're hosting Thanksgiving this year or just dreaming of a bohemian celebration, this one goes out to you!

Iconic Halloween Inspiration: Penny Lane

Halloween is almost here... eek! I STILL haven't pulled together a costume but inspiration is everywhere. Continuing on with my favorite iconic ladies (get inspired for a Stevie Nicks costume here), the fictional Penny Lane is perfect for all of the last minute costume DIY-ers like me. Since the 70s are making a major comeback in stores and in my closet, these psychedelic musical looks are easy to recreate... attitude and tour bus not included.

Iconic Halloween Inspiration: Stevie Nicks

No matter how excited I get for Halloween, I always wait for the last minute to assemble the perfect costume. This year I'm getting inspired by bad-ass lady icons and first up is Stevie Nicks! I've been drawn to Stevie's effortless boheme style for as long as I can remember and can most often be found singing along to Fleetwood Mac tunes in the car. For a twirl-worthy Stevie look, all you need is a free flowing maxi dress, a pair of stacked platforms (or over the knee boots), a tambourine to clutch and some serious 70s attitude.
