3 Outfits I Wish I Was Wearing This Week

The air has developed a slight chill, mornings are crisp and foggy and there are tons of holiday errands to run. Naturally, I've been dreaming about winter wardrobe combinations all week! There's some MAJOR inspiration floating around the blogosphere right now (see my favorites here) and I've got luxe cashmere sweaters, effortless coats and sensible shoes on the brain. Here are three outfits I wish I was wearing this week:

Denim Uniform

Lately I've been sticking to somewhat of a "uniform" when it comes to dressing. Simple tops, simple shoes and THE most important piece,  the. perfect. jeans. I've been on a mission to collect vintage fits, classic washes and cool hems in the hopes of stocking my closet with ample choices. Enter: Mother Denim. I'm obsessed with these styles and everything the relaxed/cool brand stand for (extra points for the "Love Your Other" campaign and it's proceeds benefiting Self Evident Truths and its work for LGBTQ+ visibility).

As I get older (there's a birthday on the horizon that will put me square in the "late 20s" camp vs the "early 20s" brigade I've spent the last few years in), I'm discovering more and more what works for me. Personal style is such a process of evolution and I'm finally starting to realize that neutral, simple, comfortable pieces are definitely my jam. I'm refining my taste, rethinking my choices and reinvesting in staples that I know will work hard. Sign me up for all the simple tees, perfect denim, crisp shirts, funky boots and minimal accessories...

Sometimes it's fun to pick up a pencil create solely for the sake of fun! For the past year or so I've spent half of my time dreaming about all things bridal for Finery and that included stalking all of the runway shows for new styles and favorite designers. New York Bridal Week wrapped a little while ago and I was so inspired by all of the beautiful details swirling about that I had to try my hand at a couple of quick little sketches atop these shots of Jessie from a few months ago. Always a runway favorite, Naeem Khan brought the dreamiest designs and most intricate beadwork this season. See the original looks here.
