I'm honored to have a few fabulous friends (and incredibly talented bloggers) guest posting for me while I'm away in Washington D.C. A Dose of Pretty has become one of my favorite daily reads and Sara is one of my dearest blog friends. I can always count on her for a quick text of encouragement, a few killer weekend ideas or, like today, amazingly inspiring favorites.

I'm so honored to be taking over Chelsea's blog while she's getting some much needed R&R with family and friends. Since you might not know me I thought I would share some of my favorite things as of late. I hope you enjoy reading about them!

+ My Fujifilm Instax Camera: I've taken it to the beach a few times and I can't wait to take it with us on vacation. + Lucy Laucht's instagram account {@lucylaucht} never fails to keep me inspired. + I love having fresh flowers in our home. It brightens up my day. + For weekend dates with the hubby I love wearing distressed denim with heels. I'm still a fan of Gap skinnies and boyfriend jeans. The J.Crew Everly heels are the most comfy heels I've tried. + And a few other random favorites: distressed denim {these Rag and Bone shorts are a new acquisiton}, embellished sandals, and coffee table books.

By now you've probably heard of fashion's newest trend, "normcore" (or dressing like a "normal" person for once, HA!). Where fussy fashion used to reign supreme, comfortable clothes are now the calling card of "it" girls 'round the world. While I'm not one for jumping on the trend bandwagon, I do think there's something to being comfortable and keeping it neutral everyday.  Apparently it's cool to wear comfy shoes and mom jeans (they'll be replacing your boyfriend denim soon, trust me) again and I'm all over it.

This weekend passed in a bit of a blur! With a trip to the airport for the three of us and some settling in for my mom and sister I had zero time to even think about outfit planning. I'll let you in on a little secret: I've never been a big fan of jeans. They've always been so uncomfortable and such a hassle to wear but this pair of leggings has changed it all for me! I wore this pair from church, to lunch, to the airport and back this weekend with not the slightest ache for my beloved sweats... and THAT'S saying something. With Monday finally here and the girls staying on until Friday, let's hope that there's plenty of family fun and a small semblance of routine in store for my week!
