Our Wedding Series: Green Wedding Shoes x Hazel + Scout

I have been so M.I.A. lately (oops) but it's all for good reason! Ainsworth and I are getting married in September and every spare moment has been spent debating different dresses and deciding which wedding style is more us.

I am so excited to finally share that we are partnering with Green Wedding Shoes (one of my favorite wedding blogs to gain inspiration from even before I became engaged) to chronicle our entire journey down the aisle. We'll be sharing one wedding post per month (from now until October) on their site and documenting everything from finding the perfect gown to decor DIYs. I am so excited that you'll be able to join us on this adventure!

Today I'm explaining how we met (dancing on a table to 99 Red Balloons), why we work so well together (because he is so amazingly sweet and supportive) and how I asked my best girlfriends to stand beside me on our special day. Head on over to Green Wedding Shoes to read the full post!

Make It: Pom Pom Magnets

"let them be little" print available in the print shop!

We have a thing for magnets in this house (see the DIY for those fun metallic alphabet magnets here). They're a great, quiet activity for Lorelai to rearrange while I'm cooking and they allow me to test out prints before I'm done rendering them for City Paperie. While we've been obsessed with our shiny letters lately, I've found that they aren't very strong and we needed a few more sturdy options on our fridge. Enter pom-pom magnets.

I'm a firm believer in this quote...

... and thought our house was definitely lacking a few poms.

Interesting in making your own? Here's what you'll need:

  • yarn (any color you like)
  • round magnets (you can find them at the craft store)
  • fork
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun + glue sticks
  • this tutorial for making mini pom-poms

happy pom-pomming!
