Friday Favorites

ear cuffs, free people sweater, alice + olivia sweater, ash booties & jonathan adler candle via shopbop
club monaco hat, sunday suppers cookbook, urban outfitters taxidermy

Although I usually look forward to recapping my favorite links every Friday, I had too many items make their way onto my wishlist not to share this week. We're officially in the midst of my favorite season and I look forward to getting extra cozy with chunky knits (like all of the amazing options from shopbop) and toiling away in our little home for the next few months. It's definitely the time for comfort food and I've been meaning to pick up a new cookbook by one of my biggest inspirations, Sunday Suppers. Light a candle, top it off with an amazing felt fedora and you're on your way to the perfect late-fall evening.

p.s. Thank goodness Sara introduced me to this amazing hat, I'm completely obsessed!

p.p.s. Today is the last day to shop Madewell's sweater & boot sale! Use code YESPLEASE for 25% off select styles.

Lou & Grey

I haven't ventured into LOFT in quite a while and I don't think I've ever gone as far as to purchase something from the store. I have no specific reason to boycott the brand but I'm never pulled in when I'm wandering around our shopping center. This week I was working with a personal styling client (Do you need my help with outfits? I'll be posting more soon but feel free to email me at chelsea@chelseaandthecity.com for inquiries) and I stumbled upon something that may have me hitting up my local LOFT more often.

Lou & Grey is a LOFT offshoot that focuses on "clothing for a comfortably confident life", something I can definitely get behind. With wardrobe staples galore (shirt-dresses, comfortable v-necks & simple lines) in a cool neutral palette, what started off as LOFT's line of lounge pieces has evolved into a full-blown edited capsule collection of texture-rich pieces for everyday.

Are you a fan of LOFT? Will you be stopping by a little more too?

To Mule... or not?

ZARA-MULES Something has come over me... styles that used to repel me (and not in a good Man Repeller way) now have me clamoring for my wallet, wild eyed. Ugly footwear has staked a claim in my heart and I'm all over Birks, working girl sneakers and now... mules.

Love it or hate it, mules are celebrating their 15 minutes of fame and I'm tempted to scoop up a pair for myself. White with gold details are perfect for Spring and I'd be reaching for these ones from Zara year round. The chunky heel would be great dressing down sexier pieces and I can totally see them with boyfriend jeans on casual days.

So, where do you stand? To mule or not to mule?
