Friday Favorites

ear cuffs, free people sweater, alice + olivia sweater, ash booties & jonathan adler candle via shopbop
club monaco hat, sunday suppers cookbook, urban outfitters taxidermy

Although I usually look forward to recapping my favorite links every Friday, I had too many items make their way onto my wishlist not to share this week. We're officially in the midst of my favorite season and I look forward to getting extra cozy with chunky knits (like all of the amazing options from shopbop) and toiling away in our little home for the next few months. It's definitely the time for comfort food and I've been meaning to pick up a new cookbook by one of my biggest inspirations, Sunday Suppers. Light a candle, top it off with an amazing felt fedora and you're on your way to the perfect late-fall evening.

p.s. Thank goodness Sara introduced me to this amazing hat, I'm completely obsessed!

p.p.s. Today is the last day to shop Madewell's sweater & boot sale! Use code YESPLEASE for 25% off select styles.

Four Favorites: Thanksgiving

My pie crusts are setting, the linens are pressed, tomorrow's the big day... are you ready?! Luckily, this Thanksgiving is just for my little threesome of a family so I only have to worry about a tiny turkey. This year has been so great to us and I have so many things to be thankful for (a new home, Mr. Jackson's wonderful new job, this amazing blog journey... I could go on). I'm so very grateful for the opportunity to explore so many lovely things in this little corner of the internet with you!

Four Favorites: Beauty

1. mario badescu honey moisturizer 2. nars black eyeliner stylo 3. h&m 30 pack metallic hair grips 4. lavett & chin no. 2 pomade

For the past few years my beauty routine has stayed pretty consistent (Florida weather was pretty reliable and never harsh on my skin) but this year I'm seriously rethinking my winter strategy! I've already begun to notice that my face needs a little extra attention and my hair is definitely getting unruly.

What's in my winter makeup bag? A super-moisturizing lotion (this Mario Badescu one smells divine plus I read somewhere that Martha Stewart loves how these little bottles look on her vanity... sold!), good quality eyeliner for executing the perfect feline flick and a few hair essentials. Apparently, this pomade was discovered on set of the J Crew Style Guide shoots where stylist Brent Lavett borrowed it from the guys to achieve the perfect messy mane. A product that'll make my bedhead look intentional? Now that's a good thing.
