I don't know about you, but for me the award show season is always a little less about praise and more about who wore the prettiest gown. Since the Oscars punctuate the season with the most fashionable wardrobe choices of the year, I spent all weekend giddy with excitement and counting down to the red carpet. I've been following Lupita Nyong'o's outfit choices this year and have been blown away every. single. time. (Have you forgotten the caped Ralph Lauren?) Never one to disappoint, the first-time Academy attendee stunned in pastel blue and gave the most heartfelt speech (complete with hugs from Brad Pitt). You go girl!
Happy Friday friends. Whew... it's good to be back behind the computer screen this week! Please bear with me as I get used to a different set up (my beloved laptop is still in the shop) and try to fall back into my routine. Although I've been completely missing in action from the blog world this week, I did come across quite a few links worth sharing in my pinterest + twitter feeds and the bookmarked blogs on my phone. While it was nice to unplug for a bit, I have so missed this little corner of the internet!

I'm in the process of getting everything fixed (can you say ka-ching?), but in the meantime I'll be taking some time away from the blog to get a little inspiration and fresh air. Although it's driving me crazy not to check out all of the fabulousness that I'm sure you're putting out there, it'll be nice work on a few things away from the fluorescent glow of the screen for a change. I might be able to pick up my computer as early as next week so expect a couple of fun projects once I return (diamonds, style posts, and the most fun Instagram recap ever)!
