Have you started your holiday shopping? Since Thanksgiving weekend has passed, I'm starting to realize how behind I am on gift buying this year! I recently partnered with Zappos (an online clothing retailer) to take part in their "present palooza", a blogger secret Santa that allowed me to gift another blogger a few of my favorite pieces. I spent hours pouring over everything and finally landed on Free People's Tweedy Pullover Sweater & a gorgeous vegan leather skirt for my new friend. Hopefully she loved them as much as I do! When I received a package containing her picks for me I was blown away by all of the amazing things Connie was able to find that perfectly fit my aesthetic. This hat is definitely making its way into my daily rotation!

Zappos made it so easy to find the perfect presents (they have a huge selection of designers and shipping is free and fast) that I'm already placing a few things in my shopping cart for the people on my personal gift list. Valentine's Day is tomorrow, can you believe it? 2014 is definitely flying by and this particular holiday (no matter how many times I penciled it in on various calendars) kind of sneaked up on me. Since Mr. Jackson grabbed his keys and whizzed past in a mad dash to make it to a few shops yesterday, it's probably safe to assume that there a few of you (or a few of your hunnies) who have yet to find the perfect trinket for Friday. Everything is sweeter when it's mini-sized... especially tiny loafers and city-cool toys tied up in pretty bows, stuffed under the tree! Whenever I buy gifts for Lorelai, I go with small versions of things I would love to get myself. She loves being like mommy and I appreciate tripping over well designed toys! This year, a few fun playthings, a warm winter coat and something fun to put in her big girl room are all in her letter to Santa. Because it's never too early to foster a good habit, Lo and I will be sending out thank you cards after we've opened presents... I'm sure the grandmas will appreciate a little scribble from Lo!
