Happy whickety-whickety-weekend my lovelies! This week was another doozy ladies and gentlemen (are there gentlemen reading? I'm sorry for all of the shoes...). Mr. Jackson's momma left early on Tuesday morning and I quickly crashed due in part to the worst. cold. ever. Nyquil replaced my main man and little girl as BFF number one but I'm feeling so much better now that the weekend (and Valentine's Day) is finally here. We've got big romantic plans to stay in our PJs, pop open some popcorn and watch a few favorite films just as soon as the mister returns from a long day at the office... perfection (especially since we're snowed in)! Another eventful thing this week: my first official bully happened by this happy little corner of the internet. I let her (I'm pretty sure I know who sent the nasty message... WordPress tracks IP addresses, dontcha know) bother me for a few seconds a good, long while and then realized: this blog is so much fun and I'm so thankful for all of the positive feedback and sweet tweets you send me throughout the week. A great big thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Chelsea & The City part of your daily/weekly routine!

I love this time of year! It's such a fun time to remember just how much love I have for everyone in my life (and to remind them of it). Since a little festivity never hurt anybody, and let's face it I've never met an occasion I didn't like, I plan on sneaking a little bit of love into every aspect of life this month. What better way than a subtle (and soft) sweater, a few well-designed paper products and a pair of "come to momma" pumps?

One of my big plans for the new year is to send more snail mail! There are few things better than opening our letter box and finding a fun little package for me... it feels like Christmas all over again and with Facebook, Instagram and E-mail dominating most of our days it's nice to take the time to really show loved ones that you care. Since I haven't amassed a huge stationary collection just yet, I have big plans to stock up during 2014. I'm expecting most of my shopping budget to go towards paper products and I'm not mad at it...

Recently, I signed up for a little pen pal experiment via One Fine A and Alecia from Likes of Us sent me the sweetest note in the mail... I love this little community of blogland and all of the great relationships it puts in the works. What fun!
